Mike Tierney

Mike is a Director of Pragmatique, working in its People & Purpose Practices and specialising in Organisational Change and Management Development.  Mike works with a range of management teams from Boardroom PLC's to first line supervisors in SMB's. Mike holds an MBA from the University of Glasgow and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Open University.  Mike is a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming as is qualified to deliver people development tools such as DiSC and Belbin Team Role profiling.

Mike has held a number of senior management positions in a variety of business sectors;  Operations Director with a Training Consultancy; Operations Director in a Logistics Company and prior to that a commission in the British Army.  He has a broad range of experience in management and team development in many different sectors including Financial, Financial Support Services, Life Sciences, Health, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, Public and Third Sectors.

Mike also has extensive international experience working in the Middle East, Western Central Africa, and Europe.
 
Mike has found that the most successful organisational change and people development initiatives require a holistic approach, which integrates any intervention with real business needs to achieve enhanced performance.  Mike is driven to ensure that any intervention that he delivers is successful by providing training and consultancy which is specifically relevant to individuals but informed by the wider business context.  His practical leadership experience and facilitative approach to consulting have achieved outstanding returns for our clients' investments.

Outside of work Mike enjoys spending time with his young family, sailing off Scotland's west coast, hacking around golf courses and watching rugby and football.
