Benchmarking
- Learning from Best Practice
-
-
The performance of your organisation only becomes truly meaningful when you compare it to other companies who operate in the same area as you do . This is the very essence of competition, and failure to measure yourself in this way, could give you a false sense of security.
Your business has unique factors, but it also has many similarities to other businesses in your sector. Being prepared to learn from others is an important way to identify and learn about best practice. Companies that benchmark, produce a defined set of measures, enabling them to set meaningful targets, which enables you to beat your competitors, by measuring performance, and challenging the effectiveness of your processes .

Introduction
The Benchmarking process uses a simple data collection, containing full explanations of the terms and where the data should come from. This enables you to collect the data in your own time, or of you prefer, we can work with you to collect all the necessary information, quickly, and easily.
Using both financial data and management information, your report enables you to get a much deeper understanding of your businesses strengths and weaknesses. It compares your business performance with that of your peers, based on more than 70 indicators, from four fundamental business scorecard areas of Finance, Process, Customers and Learning & Growth.
